Here's some more information about our cabin rentals
So how rustic is it? If you are looking for a 5 star all inclusive lakefront resort - this is not for you! This is for the adventurer independent types that like to rough it a bit, and like to experience the coziness of a small peaceful space in amongst the trees. The cabins have 15 amp service and limited wifi, we ask our guests to only use what you need, when you need it. Turn off heater, and lights when not needed. Don't plug in everything at once, and nothing extra like a hot plate, kettle, etc. The cabins are very well insulated. There is a small fan in each cabin, just in case it gets too warm. There is no running water - please bring. You must also bring your own wood, and firestarter (newspaper, kindling, etd) A hot outdoor shower may be made available (shared between both cabins). There is also a quaint little outhouse, that's also shared between the two cabins. The cabins are not on a body of water, the closest lake/beach is only a 7 km drive away. However, there are 100s of lakes and rivers all around us, within 20 - 30 minutes of the Cabin.
Check in/out: Check in is anytime after 2pm, check out is by noon. But depending on bookings we may be flexible.
Ample Parking: You can pull right into your cabin (no 4X4 necessary), and we have extra parking at the roadside for boat/atv/snowmobile trailers or for extra vehicles or if you'd rather park there.
Respecting your surroundings: A lot of hard work was put into the cabins for our guests to enjoy the peace and serenity around us. Guests are asked to leave it like you found it, take out what you bring in. Smoking/Vaping can be done outside of the cabins, not inside. Please respect the local fire regulations. It is preferred that pets stay home. Charges will be added for not cleaning up after self, leaving garbage behind, damages to property and/or its contents. The cabins are backed by acres of forest so there is poison ivy and you may see some wildlife. Turkeys, racoons, deer, a moose and a bear have visited the property. Land is uneven and lit for ambience only (these cabins are not wheelchair accessible) There are flashlights in the cabins too, just in case!
