Here's some more information about our cabin rentals

So how rustic is it? If you are looking for a 5 star all inclusive lakefront resort - this is not for you!  This is for the adventurer independent types that like to rough it a bit, and like to experience the coziness of a small peaceful space in amongst the trees. The cabins have 15 amp service and limited wifi, we ask our guests to only use what you need, when you need it. Turn off heater, and lights when not needed. Don't plug in everything at once, and nothing extra like a hot plate, kettle, etc. We have no running water, we will provide some non-potable water for cleaning upon request. We have a hot outdoor shower that is shared between both cabins. There is also a quaint little outhouse, that's also shared between the two cabins. We are not on a body of water, the closest lake/beach is only a 7 km drive away. However, there are 100s of lakes and rivers all around us, within 20 - 30 minutes of the Cabin. We explore them daily, so we can help direct you.

Well-insulated: When using the propane heater, we encourage guests to leave the window open a crack, it gets warm in there, especially in the loft. (The loft is a tight space, really just meant for the little ones that like to climb). During the summer we include a small fan. The cabins are very well insulated.

Check in/out: Check in is anytime after 2pm, check out is by noon. But depending on bookings we may be flexible.

Ample Parking: You can pull right into your cabin (no 4X4 necessary), and we have extra parking at the roadside for boat/atv/snowmobile trailers or for extra vehicles for visitors.

Respecting your surroundings: We love our property and we hope you do too!! A lot of hard work was put into it for our guests to enjoy the serenity of the cabins and there surroundings. We ask that you leave it like you found it, take out what you bring in. Smoking/Vaping can be done outside of the cabins, not inside. Please respect the local fire regulations - we'd like to keep our trees! It's encouraged that pets that bark, bite, shed, or are untrained stay home. If you do plan to bring a pet, please let us know in advance. We expect owners to clean up after their pet, keep leashed and with you at all times (Charges will be added for not cleaning up after self or dog, leaving garbage behind, damages to property and/or its contents) We are backed by acres of forest so there is poison ivy and you may see some wildlife. We've had turkeys, racoons, deer, a moose and a bear visit the property. So letting your pets or kids run wild isn't advisable. Land is uneven and lit for ambience only (we are not wheelchair accessible) We have flashlights in the cabins too, just in case!

If you want just the basics, with a side of serenity and nature,

this cozy retreat is definitely meant for you!
